ARHS Drama Teacher Selected as
Regional Teacher-of-the-Year Finalist

Karla Seman, Auburn Riverside High School English and drama teacher, has been selected as a finalist for the regional Teacher-of-the-Year by Puget Sound Educational Service District. Ms. Seman was selected as Auburn School District’s Teacher-of-the-Year for high school level for the 2004-05 school year.

Ms. Seman has taught English, humanities, and drama in Auburn School District for 30 years. She has taught at Cascade Junior High, Auburn High School, and Auburn Riverside High School.

The high school theatre productions that are taught and directed by Ms. Seman are very popular in the school community and the community-at-large. For two years in a row, Auburn Riverside High School’s musical productions and the participating students and staff have received several awards from the 5th Avenue Theatre’s High School Awards Program.
