Auburn Students Earn TransEd Engineering Awards

Auburn High School students recently earned first place in both divisions of a recent Civil Engineering Contest sponsored by TransEd, a regional consortium supporting career preparation, and King County Metro Transit.

Auburn High School students: Valerie Burns, Ryan Scott, and Colin Raphael, were overall winners of the Civil Engineering Contest. Tyler Thomas, also of Auburn High School, won second place. Tim Scott is their instructor.

TransEd is a coalition of schools that encourages students to consider challenging careers in the field of transportation. The program has developed an array of resources and strategies to increase awareness of transportation careers and to help instructors and students develop skills for success.
