Auburn Riverside High School Students Bring Home
Top Three Places in 2007 TransEd Civil Engineering Contest

On May 31, three teams from Auburn Riverside High School’s drafting/engineering program grabbed first, second and third place overall in the 2007 King County Metro TransEd Civil Engineering Contest.

All participating teams competed in the following subcategories: design elements, technical quality, design meets rapidride goals, and narrative description of rationale. Auburn Riverside’s duo of Aleks Zadneprovskiy and Arthur Mironchuk captured first place with a total overall point score of 126. The second place team of Jeff Brant and Jessica Heg had a total of 116 points, and the third place team of Chris Jensen and Nathan Serdahl scored a total of 106 points.

The three Auburn Riverside teams will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Metro’s King Street Center, just north of Qwest Field.
