Auburn School District Automotive Program Captures First Place
in 2007 TransEd Vehicle Maintenance Contest

On May 31, a team of students—Cody Barker, Nick Biggness and Jon Jorgenson—from the Auburn School District automotive technology program captured first place overall in the 2007 King County Metro TransEd Vehicle Maintenance Contest.

All participating teams competed in the following subcategories: diesel diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, team problem solving and a written test. This year’s competition was a tight race, with Auburn accumulating 860 points to take the lead, followed by Kentwood with 855 points, and West Seattle with 835.

The Auburn School District team will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Metro’s King Street Center, just north of Qwest Field.
