NEWS RELEASE
Lea Hill Elementary School Celebrates
the Benefits of Exercise

The Lea Hill Elementary School Mustangs are completing a two-month “Mustang Miler After-School Club,” where all Lea Hill students are invited to participate in this popular walking/running club.

Students meet after school for approximately 40 minutes, and during lunch recess, to earn “Mustang miles.” Students accumulate one Mustang mile for every mile they walk or run. The top two overall Mustang Milers win a T-shirt. All students who attend at least seven sessions receive a Mustang Miler wristband.

This program encourages students to get outside and get moving. Students who exercise enjoy physical benefits as well as better productivity in the classroom.

For more information contact Bill Hess, PE teacher at Lea Hill Elementary School, at (253) 931-4982.
