AHS Choral Students Compete Well in
Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest

Twenty Auburn High School students competed in the Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest on Wednesday, March 27.  Seventeen of the students received Superior Ratings and three received Excellent Ratings.

Superior Ratings:

Nicole Tomer, Colleen Smyres, Stacey Cherry, Nisha Daniel, Krissy Brouner, Kristi Horkley, Megan Cooper, Rachel Erie, Lindsay Berglund, Maggie Cassidy-Brinn, Evan Almaas, Eric Bulson, Jennifer Overbey, Sarah Bachik, Jon Hiibel, Duet by Megan Cooper and Rebecca Young, Duet by Stacey Cherry and Lindsay Berglund, and Male Ensemble (Fat Harmonies Plus Three)

Excellent Ratings:

Jeff Cain, Kristi Horkley, and the Cantabile Ensemble

In addition a number of placements were won for the State Solo/Ensemble Contest to be held in Ellensburg in April.

Soprano Division: 

1^st Alternate positions were awarded to Stacey Cherry and Megan Cooper

Mezzo Soprano Division:

Winner of Division - Rachel Erie

1^st Alternate - Maggie Cassidy-Brinn

2^nd Alternate - Lindsay Berglund

Bass Division:

2^nd Alternate - Jon Hiibel

Small Female Ensemble Division:

1^st Alternate - Duet by Stacey Cherry and Lindsay Berglund

Large Male Ensemble:

Winner of Division - Fat Harmonies Plus Three (Jon Hiibel, Jeff Cain, Bobby Dummitt, Nat Little, Evan Almaas, and Bryan Webb)
