ARHS Students Perform Well at
Skills USA-VICA Regionals

Auburn Riverside High School students performed very well at the Skills USA-VICA regional competition held on February 23 and 24.  The following achievements were earned by the students:

Leadership competitions

Gold Medal for Extemporaneous Speech: Erick Richards

Silver Medal for Extemporaneous Speech: Paul Hanson

Silver Medal for Quiz Bowl: Jesse Newman, Eric Richards, Amber Franz, Paul Hanson, Jeremy Asmussen

Bronze medal for Job Interview: Jesse Newman

Computer Repair:

Silver Medal: Carl Saiyed

Honorable mention: Phillip Daniels, Jesse Newman,Mark Shoaf, Michael Dejesus, Paul Hanson, Zack Brentson

Basic Electronics:

Silver Medal: Sean Nelson

Bronze Medal: Jeremy Asmussen

Honorable Mention: Tyler Fox

Bronze Medal: Bryan Johnson

Honorable Mention: Thomas Clendening, Amanda Ney

State Pin Design - This design will represent Washington State for the school year 2001/2002. These pins become collectors’ items and are traded with other state winners during National competitions.

Mark Shoaf won a $50.00 Savings Bond for his design.
