AHS Choral Winners and Alternates for State Contest

Auburn High School’s choral students performed exceptionally well at the Green River Community College Choral Contest.  Eleven out of 21 AHS solos received a Superior Rating; nine received an Excellent Rating; and one received a Good Rating.  Seven out of nine Ensembles received a Superior Rating – three received an Excellent Rating.  The following students earned awards and will proceed to the state-level competition:

Soprano Category:

• Winner - Rachel Erie

• 1^st Alternate- Stacey Cherry

• 2^nd Alternate - Jennifer Overbey

Mezzo Soprano Category:

• Winner - Lindsay Berglund

• 1^st Alternate - Kristine True

Tenor Category:

• 2^nd Alternate - Seth Roth

Small Female Ensemble Category:

• 2^nd Alternate - AHS Duet #1 (Lindsay Berglund, Stacey Cherry)

Large Female Ensemble Category:

• Winner - AHS Girls #1  (Lindsay Berglund, Stacey Cherry, Sara Cross, Jessy Luke, Alana Morgan, Colleen Smyres, Kristine True)

Large Men’s Ensemble Category:

• Winner - AHS Men’s Ensemble  (Evan Almaas, Bobby Dummitt, Jon Hiibel, Travis McGaughey, Matthew Paul)

Large Mixed Ensemble Category:

• Winner - AHS Mixed Ensemble #1  (Evan Almaas, Lindsay Berglund, Stacey Cherry, Bobby Dummitt, Amy Galati, Jon Hiibel, Jacklyn Kellogg, Travis McGaughey, Kristine True, Rebecca Young)
