Auburn School Board of Directors to Recognize
Alpac Elementary Fifth Grader, Nick Alexander
| At the Monday, March 22, school board meeting, the Auburn School Board of Directors will recognize Nick Alexander, Alpac Elementary School fifth grader, for his significant school success. “Nick is a model student, athlete, and community member. He is an outstanding role model for others in my class,” says his teacher, Dianne Avant. Nick excels in academics. He is an A student with outstanding effort and received the Academic Achievement Award for academic excellence. He also participated in the Global Reading Challenge. Nick was successful in passing all four sections of the WASL. “He participates actively in his learning. He always has his work done on time and it is always of high quality. He always does his best,” says Ms. Avant. | ![]() |
Nick is respectful of himself and of others. He voluntarily assists other students with their schoolwork if they need it. He participates in the school safety patrol program. This year he has been honored as Safety Patrol of the Month, Student of the Month from his class, Police Student of the Month, and a Lions Club student of the month. Nick's responsible actions and efforts make him a stand out among his peers. He has been a member on both the school volleyball and basketball teams. He plays trumpet in the band; has been on the Auburn Little League baseball team, as well as the Auburn All-Star baseball team; has also been involved in the Auburn Parks flag football team; and is an active church member at a local community church where he volunteers to be an altar server. Nick is a very exceptional citizen at Alpac and in the community. |
