AHS Marketing Management Class Qualified to Compete
at the International DECA Career Development Conference

An entire Marketing Management class at Auburn High School has qualified to compete at the International Distributive Education of America (DECA) Career Development Conference to be held in Anaheim, California from April 26 thru May 1. The following students will compete:

  • Public Relations DECA Project: Project mission - To promote non-drinking and driving in our community: Holly Gibson, Joni Gibson, and Alex Johnson.

  • Civic Consciousness DECA Project: Project mission - To promote cancer awareness and early detection in our community: Erika Mueller and Rachel Wheeler.

  • DECA Chapter Awards Project: Project mission - To promote and organized DECA’s program of work at Auburn High School: Aleece Thibeault and Ashley Fiorini.

  • DECA Merit Awards Project: Meghann Hall Project mission - To gain marketing and management knowledge.

  • DECA Entrepreneurship Promotional Project: Project mission - To promote entre-preneurship knowledge in our community: Blaine Konold, Chad Turner, and Ly Ho.

  • DECA Learn and Earn Chapter Project: Project mission - To establish a business, develop an operational plan: Danielle Dahlquist, Kristin Metcalf, and Heather White.

“This is an incredible number of winning students who will be competing at International DECA competition. I am very proud of their hard work and dedication to their projects and the hours of writing on these complex international projects,” said DECA advisor, Jim Burton.
