Ask the Dietitian!

On Monday, March 6, Auburn School District’s Child Nutrition Services website goes live with a new “Ask the Dietitian” link.

Parents, students, teachers, and staff now have personal access to Jill Dobson, Registered Dietitian and Consulting Dietitian for the District’s Child Nutrition Department. Dobson is available via e-mail to answer any questions pertaining to health, diet, and general nutrition in the school breakfast and lunch programs or other general nutrition-related topics. This exciting new feature for Child Nutrition Services augments its already informative website, such as food specification sheets that list all ingredients and nutritional analysis for the programs’ entrees. Eric Boutin, Supervisor of Child Nutrition Services, states, “‘Ask the Dietitian’ is an exciting new resource for students to ask about any nutritional questions they may have, plus it is a feature teachers and parents in the district can use to gather information on the meal programs offered at school.” Explore this new feature by visiting the Child Nutrition Services website at http://www.auburn.wednet.edu/childnutrition/Default3.htm.
