Auburn Riverside High School Forensic Team
Wins State 3A Tournament

The Auburn Riverside High School Forensic Team captured first place at the State 3A Tournament on March 10 at the University of Puget Sound.

The following students placed overall:

• Jack Peace, Finalist in Expository Speaking
• Shannon Keith, Finalist in Expository Speaking
• Jon Burdine and Alaina Gordon, 2nd place in Dual Interpretation
• Emily Angulo and Brooke Agather, Finalist in Dual Interpretation
• Jack Peace, Finalist in Oratory
• Tara Low, Finalist in Oratory
• Jon Burdine, Finalist in Humorous Interpretation
• Joe Lawrence, 2nd place in Humorous Interpretation
• Alaina Gordon, 1st place and State Champion in Humorous Interpretation

Several of these students have also qualified for the National Tournament that will be held on June 17-22 in the Derby/Wichita, Kansas School District:
