Auburn School District 2008-09 Kindergarten Registration
and Round-Up Schedule

Kindergarten registration for Auburn School District’s 2008-09 school year will begin on Monday, April 14, 2008. Elementary schools will be open for registration between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily. Parents are encouraged to register their five-year-old children on or shortly after this date. Early registration helps the schools plan effectively, have sufficient staff and create a smooth introduction for students entering kindergarten.

Parents must bring their child’s official birth certificate and a current immunization record at the time of registration. State law requires parents to present immunization information documenting that their children meet the state requirements before being registered at school.

The local elementary schools can provide a list of all needed immunizations, or view them online at http://www.auburn.wednet.edu/immunization/Default.htm.  Required immunizations include: 

• MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) - 2 doses 1st dose on or after first birthday; 2nd dose at least 28 days after 1st dose

• DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) - 4 doses if last dose is on or after fourth birthday

• Polio:
      *3 doses if last dose is on or after fourth birthday
      *4 doses if all doses are before fourth birthday

• Hepatitis B (3-shot series)

• Varicella (chicken pox) - 2 doses 1st dose on or after first birthday; blood titer or medical provider diagnosis is
  needed for verification of disease
