Auburn High School Orchestra Students Compete in Green River
Music Region Orchestra Solo and Ensemble Contest

On, Saturday, March 15, Auburn High School Orchestra students competed in the Green River Music Region Orchestra Solo and Ensemble Contest at Thunder Mountain Middle School in Enumclaw.

Several Auburn High School orchestra students were selected as 1st and 2nd alternates to compete in the Washington Music Educator’s Association (WMEA) STATE Solo and Ensemble Contest to be held on April 25-26 at Central Washington University in Ellensburg:

Solo - Superior (I) ratings:

Emily Golan, Violin – 1st alternate

Ensembles - Superior (I) ratings:

• Dohnanyi Trio: Julie Chang, Violin; Kristin Olson, Viola; Ian Crawley, Cello – 2nd alternate, small ensemble

• Sinding Serenade: Emily Golan, Violin and Julie Chang, Violin – 1st alternate, small ensemble
