College Bound
Scholarship for Seventh and Eighth Grade Students
Covers Tuition and Books
Seventh and eighth grade students throughout Washington State may qualify for the College Bound Scholarship, a scholarship aimed to help seventh and eighth grade students in low-income families plan for and afford a college education.
The scholarship covers the amount of tuition (at public college rates) not covered by other state financial aid, plus $500 for books. It can be used at two- or four-year public and private colleges and universities. It is guaranteed for all students who apply during their seventh or eighth grade year and continue to meet all eligibility criteria until they graduate from high school.
This year’s eighth grade students must apply by June 1, 2008. This year’s seventh graders have until June 1, 2009 to apply. Apply online at: www.hecb.wa.gov/collegebound.
