Auburn School Board Director Vacancy
The Auburn School Board is seeking applications from interested citizens for the appointment to this position of school board representative from Director District 2. Donna Foxley, Auburn School District Board of Directors president, has recently resigned from the directorship position that she had held since 1995, after being appointed to the post of United States Department of Education's representative for Region X.
The following are specifics regarding this vacancy:
The appointee to fill this position shall meet the requirements provided by law for school directors and shall serve until the next regular school district election (Fall, 2003) at which time a successor shall be elected.
The appointee must be a citizen of the United States and the state of Washington and be a registered voter and a resident of the Auburn School District.
The appointee must live within the boundaries of Director District 2. These boundaries are described as follows:
Director District No. 2
Starting at the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Main Street. East on Main Street to R Street. South on R Street to city limits. East on city limits to T Street. South on T Street to 2nd Street. East on 2nd Street and extension to Green River. Southeast along Green River to SR 18. Northeast on SR 18 to 312th Way. Northeast on 312th Way/312th Street to Lea Hill Road. West on Lea Hill Road to 320th Street. West on 320th to Green River. Northerly on Green River to Pike Street. South on Pike Street to 22nd Street. West on 22nd Street to Auburn Way. South on Auburn Way/Auburn Avenue to the point of the beginning.

Public interviews will be held on Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11 (if needed), with appointment to be announced on either June 10 or 11. The swearing in of the new board member to take place at the regular board meeting on Monday, June 24.
