AHS and ARHS Awarded at Washington Vocational
Sports Medicine Association State Competition

 

Auburn High School and Auburn Riverside High School sports medicine students were among 315 Washington State students representing 24 high school sports medicine teams participating in the Washington Vocational Sports Medicine Association State Competition hosted by Auburn Riverside High School on April 26-27.  Competition students had at least two-years of sports medicine training.  The competition measured the students’ skills in sports medicine and included practical, written, and oral exams.  The Auburn High School team of Josh Le, Danny Lowderman, Daniel Carr, Stuart Smith, Nolan Ball, Brodie Hoffer, Angela Taylor, and Renee Paquet was awarded fifth place.  The Auburn Riverside High School team of Alex Perry, Shannon Stone, Ritasha Prasad, Kilty Keaton, Chauntelle Kristek, Katy Ballah, Jessica Granger, and Sara Price was awarded seventh place.  Auburn Riverside High School also had a forum presentation team of Sarah Goethals, Ben Ingels, Carl Moe, and Ciano Hipol which was awarded third place for the team members’ presentation on the shuttle machine.  Gary Clinton, Auburn Riverside High School sports medicine instructor, was also honored as the “Sports Medicine Instructor-of-the-Year.”
