Auburn School Board of Directors to Honor
District's Teachers-of-the-Year

On Tuesday, May 28, the Auburn School Board of Directors will be honoring the district’s Teachers-of-the-Year.  The following teachers have been selected: at the elementary level – Pat Fleming, Chinook Elementary School Native Education Resource Room teacher; middle level- Diane Gardner, Cascade Middle School mathematics teacher; and high school level – Brian Peterson, Auburn High School science teacher and wrestling coach.  All three teachers were selected because of their dedication to students and their professional contributions to public education.

Mr. Peterson and Ms. Fleming have also been selected as the Auburn School District’s Teacher-of-the-Year nominations for the regional process that will be administrated by the Puget Sound Educational Service District.  The teacher selected as the regional nominee will then be part of the state-wide recognition program coordinated by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
