NEWS RELEASE
Auburn School District's Board of Directors
Honors Student Nicole Rudloff

On Monday, April 24, the Auburn School District Board of Directors recognized Nicole Rudloff, a senior at West Auburn High School, for her outstanding student achievements.

Nicole is a bright student who is graduating in June in only three years. She attended West Auburn’s summer school program the past two summers. Her incredible work ethic and go-getter attitude make her a model student, which are just some of the reasons Nicole won Auburn Rotary’s Student of the Month for March.

She is a member of the Vocational Education Club and a student council representative. She also played on West Auburn’s volleyball team. Nicole plans to attend Green River Community College in the fall and then transfer to the University of Washington to pursue a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She already has earned over 20 college credits through her Tech Prep program. Nicole enjoys helping people and recognizes that nurses are always meeting the needs of others.

Nicole’s advisor, Mr. Payne, applauds Nicole for her tenacity. Despite already completing her math requirements for graduation, Nicole chose to take an advanced math class, instead of an easy elective, for her own benefit for college preparation. “Nicole’s just a great all-around kid. I am lucky to be her advisor and looking forward to see where life takes her,” says Mr. Payne.

Nicole’s family plays a special part in her desire to succeed. Her mother, Linda Rudloff, her sister, Sarah, and Nicole’s two-year-old son, Aiden, are three big reasons for her success. In her free time, Nicole enjoys hiking, camping and running. After graduation, Nicole plans to vacation at the Florida Keys and visit relatives in South Dakota, as well as attend a camp for prospective nurses in Tacoma.
