Award of Reading Achievement Presented to
Auburn School District by State Legislators

State legislators: Pam Roach, Christopher Hurst, and Dan Roach, presented the Award of Reading Achievement to the Auburn School District for meeting the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) fourth grade reading goal for 2001.  Districts were required to reduce by 25 percent the number of fourth grade students that did not pass the WASL reading exam.  Auburn District met this rigorous goal in the required three-year period.

The award was presented at the board meeting on Monday, November 5, in the Auburn School District Board Room, James P. Fugate Building, 915 4^th Street Northeast, Auburn.
