Auburn School Board to Recognize
Chinook Elementary Fifth Grader, Jermaine Mendoza
On Monday, November 25, the Auburn School Board of Directors will recognize Jermaine Mendoza, Chinook Elementary School fifth grader, for being a conscientious, well-rounded student. In September, his fellow students elected Jermaine as ASB co-president. Jermaine is a leader who is a positive role model, maintaining straight A’s as he performs his leadership role. He also leads in the classroom with his on-task conduct and helpfulness towards others. He has had a terrific start to the school year and is a natural to lead the way for his school. Jermaine enjoys playing video games. He reads with relish all the Harry Potter books and is looking forward to seeing the movie. He has plans to attend medical school and be a doctor. Connie Ingram, ASB advisor for Chinook Elementary School says, “I think president should be capitalized when it’s in front of Jermaine’s name. He made becoming ASB president a goal back in fourth grade. I am sure he will be a surgeon some day!.” Chinook Elementary School principal, Dennis Grad, says, “We are so pleased to have Jermaine in our school. He is a great leader. He also led the school in reading minutes last year.”
