NEWS RELEASE
AHS' Debate and Competitive Speaking Program
Awarded National Forensics League Leading Chapter Award for
Western Washington District

The Auburn High School’s debate and competitive speaking program has been awarded the National Forensics League (NFL) Leading Chapter Award for the Western Washington District.  This prestigious award is based upon student participation and is the highest honor the NFL can bestow on a school chapter.  Only one school in each regional district attains this honor yearly and must then wait at least five years before being eligible for award selection again.

Auburn High School’s debate and competitive speaking program was one of only 102 schools selected for this honor out of 2,700 NFL member schools.  Robert Horlick is the AHS forensic instructor.
