Kellen Asai Recognized by
Auburn School Board of Directors

At the Monday, November 24, Auburn School District board meeting, the directors recognized Auburn High School senior, Kellen Asai, for his diligence in his studies.  Kellen is studying the Japanese language for the third year and is one of the top students in the class.  “Kellen is an intelligent, responsible, and courteous person.   It has been a pleasure to work with him for the last two and half years,” says his foreign language teacher, Kuniko Cordell.  “Kellen is also a dedicated and cooperative worker, who comes to class prepared each day and highly motivated to learn.  He offers to help classmates whenever they need assistance.  Kellen is a pleasant young man. His good-natured personality makes everyone comfortable around him,” says Ms. Cordell.  Kellen has been a basketball player at Auburn High School for four years.  He has participated as a camp counselor for Camp Auburn’s fifth grade camp.  He is also one of Auburn High School’s Troy Crew members who perform leadership and community service activities for his high school.  Kellen’s interests include drawing and graphic design.
