Lisa Gallinatti Achieves
National Board Teacher Certification

On Friday, November 21, Lisa Gallinatti, librarian at Washington Elementary School, was notified that she had achieved National Board Teacher Certification.  Lisa Stanton, second grade teacher at Pioneer Elementary School, became a  National Board Certified Teacher last year. 

National Board Teacher Certification provides teachers an opportunity to validate the effectiveness of their instruction while fulfilling state requirements for professional certification.  The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) has developed the only national set of professional standards that defines accomplished teaching and offers an assessment process to certify teachers who can meet those rigorous standards.
