Four Auburn School District Students to Receive
WSU Regents Scholarships

Four Auburn School District students will be receiving the prestigious Washington State University Regents Scholarships.  Two Auburn High School students have been selected as Washington State University Regents Scholars:  Halley Ann Kuhlmann as a Distinguished Regents Scholar and Amanda Nicole Hanson-Casey as a Crimson Regents Scholar.  Two Auburn Riverside High School students will be Washington State University Regents Scholars: Jackie Kantjas as a Crimson Regents Scholarship and Roshni Nelson as a Silver Regents Scholarship.  Under this scholarship program, the Crimson Regents Scholars receive $6,000; the Silver Regents Scholars will receive $8,000; and the Distinguished Regents Scholars receive four-year scholarships valued up to $45,000.

Principals from every public high school in Washington, as well as private schools with more than 100 students in grades 9-12 or 10-12, were asked to nominate up to two members of the school’s 2004 graduating class who earned a minimum 3.80 grade point average. This year’s slate of nominees had a combined 3.93 GPA.
