ARHS Debate Competes at
Puyallup Tournament

The Auburn Riverside High School (ARHS) debate team competed at the Puyallup Tournament on Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13. The entire team performed very well and all earned high scores. For the second consecutive tournament, ARHS had a Dual Interpretation team and an Expository Speaker earn First Place as well as earning bids for the state competition.

The following students earned awards:

• Kelsey Hettman, Novice Expository, 2nd place
• Jack Peace, Open Expository, 1st place and state bid
• Meagan Pries, Open Expository, Finalist
• Meagan Pries, Open Humorous Interpretation, Finalist
• Tara Low, Open Expository, Finalist
• Tara Low, Open Interpretive Reading, Finalist
• Christi Gagner and Joe Lawrence, Open Dual Interpretation, 1st place and state bid
