ARHS Debate Competes at
Whitman College Tournament

The Auburn Riverside High School (ARHS) Debate Team competed at the Whitman College Tournament in Walla Walla on Friday and Saturday, November 5 and 6. All seven students performed well with five students out of seven advancing to Finals.

The following students earned awards:

• Meagan Pries, 4th place in Open Humorous Interpretation
• Tara Low, 4th place in Open Interpretive Reading
• Jesse Willard, 3rd place and a state bid in Open Interpretive Reading
• Jack Peace, 2nd place and a state bid in Open Expository Speaking
• Jesse Willard and Brad Pederson, 1st Place and a state bid in Open Dual Interpretation
