Sixth grade students at Cascade Middle School were currently involved in a hands-on social studies project. The students created new civilizations in class, making artifacts that represented the new civilizations and then burying the artifacts on the school campus. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, October 2,3, and 4, students from other classes then uncovered the artifacts from the archeological digs which had been gridded out on school grounds. The students then determined what the new civilizations had been like.
