Randy Taylor, principal of Auburn High School, has been selected to receive the Washington Library Media Association (WLMA) High School Principal-of-the-Year Award for his exceptional support of the school library program in his building and district. Mr. Taylor, along with four other Washington State school administrators, will be presented recognition awards at the WLMA annual fall conference to be held in the Yakima Convention Center on Friday, October 10. Mr. Taylor was nominated by Nancy Tapp, Auburn High School librarian. "Mr. Taylor believes the library is the hub of the school. He is supportive of the vision of the library program to ensure that students become effective users of ideas and information," says Ms. Tapp.
The Washington Library Media Association, an organization of approximately 1,200 school librarians from the state of Washington, and is comprised of 14 chapters throughout the state.
