New High School Mascot and Colors 

On Monday, October 11, the Auburn School Board was informed of and confirmed the school colors and team mascot for Auburn Mountainview High School.  The mascot and colors were selected through the aid of over 500 suggestions submitted by students, staff, and community members.  A committee reviewed the suggestions and existing mascot and color combinations in the district and surrounding school districts.  Auburn Mountainview High School’s colors will be royal blue, orange, gray, and white and the mascot will be Lions.  Auburn Mountainview High School will open its doors in September, 2005 with approximately 1,100 students in grades nine, ten, and eleven.  The new high school will compete in the South Puget Sound League with a full complement of varsity, junior varsity, sophomore, and freshman sports.  For additional information, contact Robert Odman, planning principal, at (253) 804-4539.
