School Board of Directors to Recognize
Auburn High School Senior - Cody Marlenee

On Monday, October 24, the Auburn School Board of Directors will recognize Auburn High School senior, Cody Marlenee, for his excellent high school career. “Cody Marlenee is a great student, a great leader, and a great citizen,” says Auburn High School (AHS) principal, Paul Harvey. Cody is a hard working, dedicated student athlete and is one of the leaders on the successful football team. “Cody has worked hard for four years and has become one of the best defensive football players in the South Puget Sound League. He is an outstanding citizen and a first class representative of the Trojan football program and Auburn High School,” said AHS head football coach, Gordon Elliott. Cody was selected as a King County Journal Athlete-of-the-Week for his football performance. Meri Benedict, AHS leadership advisor, praises Cody. “I am very impressed with Cody Marlenee. He is a quiet, strong leader. He speaks truthfully and honestly, which gains the respect of his peers. He has taken some courageous stands to protect the dignity of other students, again, very quietly, but solidly. When Cody speaks, other students listen. He has a hilarious sense of humor and uses it well.”
