Auburn Moutainview High School Marching Band and Color Guard
Earn Top Honors at Tumwater March Band Festival

On Saturday, October 13, the Auburn Mountainview High School (AMHS) marching band and color guard captured top honors at the Tumwater Marching Band Festival.

Drum Majors Michelle Happenny and Jon Urmenita accepted the award for Best Percussion. The Drumline and Pit Percussion led by Jericho Urmenita and Rachel Adams also earned top recognition for the second year in a row.

The AMHS color guard (led by captain Mishala Chalmers) garnered their highest score yet in competition, which shows that their growth and tenacity is paying off.

The Lions Marching Band will compete at the upcoming Puget Sound Festival of Bands in Everett on October 27.
