Mission Statement

At Pioneer, we dedicate ourselves to students and their families, to inspire and empower children to achieve their greatest academic and social potential.

The Pioneer School Community

The Pioneer staff provides a highly positive environment where staff continually assess and improve the quality of the school’s academic and social programs.  Pioneer is committed to a School Improvement Plan that emphasizes three academic areas: reading, math, and writing.  Pioneer continues to see tremendous increases as we close the achievement gap in reading and math as demonstrated by MSP results.

Another area of emphasis focuses on educating staff and students in the area of bullying prevention.  The staff at Pioneer looks closely at the incidence of bullying and methods of prevention and intervention.  Staff has worked hard to create a bully-free environment.  School-wide training in recognizing the characteristics of bullying behavior and identifying bullying prevention strategies take place each year.

Pioneer and the Auburn School District offer strong, specific, professional development for the improvement of students’ reading, math, and writing skills.  Pioneer is a great place for students to learn and grow.

Pioneer Elementary: A School Wide Title I School

Pioneer Elementary is a school wide Title I school.  This means that all students at Pioneer are Title I students!  Title I is a federally funded program developed to help schools raise the literacy and math levels of students.  Teachers, parents and especially our students benefit from this unique status.  As a school wide Title I school, Pioneer is able to offer high quality instruction to ALL children. It is exciting to see Pioneer Reading and Math scores improve each year as a result of the efforts of our staff, parents and students.

In Pioneer’s School-Wide Model you will see:

Pioneer is very proud of our highly qualified teachers and staff. Parents may request proof of teachers/staff qualifications by contacting building principal, Mrs. Gary at 931-4986.

Please contact our school for more information about our Title I School Wide Program.
