I
am originally from Colorado and have enjoyed working with middle school
kids for the past 16 years. Truly the best part of working in a middle
school is the kids and I am honored to be your new Assistant Principal.
Most recently I am from the Northshore school district where I was the
elementary summer school principal. Prior to school administration I
taught language arts and history. Coaching was also a big part of my
life and I enjoyed coaching both boys and girls basketball, volleyball,
football, baseball and softball. For entertainment I enjoy cooking,
river rafting, and mountain climbing. I have climbed to the top of Mt.
Rainier, Mt. Baker, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and Glacier Peak
I have a terrific
family. My wife Bridget is my best friend and makes me laugh all the
time. We have two children, Emmaline (Age 4) and John (2), who are so
much fun and the source of much of our laughter. They like ballet, trucks,
finger paint and soccer. I hope you get to meet them when they visit
our campus.
As an educator I believe that all students can learn and that they learn
best when they know they are safe and valued. Rainier is a great school
that has a place for everyone. I look forward to working with this fantastic
staff and join them in their promise to always put kids first at Rainier
Middle School.
Cordially,
Jack Madigan
