NEWS RELEASE
A Snake and Reading--What Do These Two Things
Have in Common?

Alpac Elementary School held two all-school reading assemblies on Thursday, September 13.  The Reptile Man was the featured assembly guest and Principal Diane Collier carried an albino python around for the students to realize that she is serious about her reading challenge to them.  She has promised to kiss the huge snake at the end of the year if the students meet her challenge of reading 900,000 minutes during the 2001-2002 school year. Her reading challenge is to support  the RICH (Reading Is a Cool Habit) Reading Program.

For more information, contact Principal Diane Collier at (253) 931-4976.
