Lea Hill Elementary Nominated for Approval for
King County Youth Sport Facility Grant

Lea Hill Elementary School has recently been nominated by King County Executive Ron Simms for approval of a $16,000 King County Youth Sport Facility grant.  The nomination is pending and will be confirmed with the approval of the King County Council 2002 budget.  The grant was developed by Lynn Massey, Lea Hill Elementary School physical education teacher, in collaboration with the school’s PTA.  The matching funds required for the grant application were raised by the school community  and the PTA by hosting a school-based carnival last spring.  The grant will fund the purchase and installation of new, age-appropriate playground equipment.  Donna Dussault-Walker is the principal of Lea Hill Elementary School.
