Gildo Rey Fifth Graders to Visit
Green River Community College

Gildo Rey Elementary School fifth graders are going on a field trip to Green River Community College on Tuesday October, 22, from 12:30-1:30 p.m.  They will assemble at the campus at 12:30 p.m. for a brief introduction to the college.

Students will divide into three groups and take a tour with ten minute visits at the library, nursing center (health care is one of the most up and coming professions), and then enjoy a ten minute math/physics lesson.  Students will walk back to the buses on a route that will allow them to see more of the campus.  The field trip was initiated as a community outreach to acquaint local students with the college and encourage them to have a vision for higher education.
