James "Zach" Oldham Named as a National Merit Semifinalist

James "Zach" Oldham, Auburn High School senior, has been named as a National Merit Semifinalist.  Students qualify for the honor by scoring in the top one percent of high school juniors in each state who take the preliminary SAT.  To become a finalist, the student must complete detailed scholarship applications, be recommended by their school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm their earlier test performance.  About 8,000 seniors will be offered Merit Scholarship awards next spring.
