Lions Provide Health Screening for
Washington Elementary Students
The Lions’ Health Screening Unit, a 62-foot long mobile vehicle that travels throughout Washington and Northern Idaho, will be visiting Auburn schools. On Tuesday, October 4, Auburn Noon Lions and health professionals will be providing health screenings to the students at Washington Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing's goal is to speed early detection of health problems through the screening so that corrective assessment and intervention steps can be taken. In 2005, they expect to screen more than 25,000 school children throughout the states. This is the first year that the Lions will be partnering with the Auburn School District to provide this important screening for students.
For more information, contact Washington Elementary School principal, Eric Daniel, (253) 931-4988.
