Eighth Annual Reaching Out Fair
Scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2006

On Thursday, October 12, the public is invited to attend the eighth annual Reaching Out Fair at the Auburn Performing Arts Center from 6-8:30 p.m. Co-hosted by the Auburn School District, the Cities of Auburn, Algona and Pacific, Green River Community College and the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, the evening focuses on how to keep children and youth safe.

A resource information fair will be available from 6-7 p.m. Resources from various organizations such as Auburn Parks and Recreation, YMCA and Auburn Youth Resources will be shared with the community. The information fair is specifically geared toward middle school students. They are encouraged to attend to learn more about the resources available to them, as well as to be entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 SuperMall gift certificates. Free refreshments will also be provided.

After the resource information fair, the community is in for a treat, as student presenters show off their talent and share testimonials about individuals who have made a difference in their lives. This part of the event highlights student success and is intended to communicate that all children can make an impact in their homes, schools and communities.

The four middle school assemblies promoting the Reaching Out Fair will be held on the following dates:

• Olympic Middle School—Monday, October 9 at 1:15 p.m.

• Mt. Baker  Middle School—Tuesday, October 10 at 8:15 a.m.

• Cascade Middle School—Wednesday, October 11 at 8:15 a.m.

• Rainier Middle School—Thursday, October 12 at 1:15 p.m.
