11. After School Suspension will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15 to 3:05 p.m.

12. Student attendance is required on modified scheduled Wednesdays. All above regulations and provisions of the attendance policy apply.

Tobacco Policy

1. Any student in possession of a tobacco product, observed using a tobacco product, observed with a tobacco product out of his/her pockets or observed exhaling smoke on school district property is in violation of school district policy 3240.7. For West Auburn High School use of tobacco products on D Street, Main Street, or any area immediately adjacent to the school during the West Auburn High School hours of 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM is also a violation.
 

 

2. Any student found in possession of a tobacco product will have product will have product confiscated and destroyed.

3. Consequences for violation of the tobacco policy are as follows:

1st Offense 3-day suspension/parent conference or 3 page paper 2nd Offense 5-day suspension or 5 page paper 3rd Offense 10-day suspension or satisfactory participation in an education program regarding the health hazards of smoking 4th Offense 9-week suspension.


Office Telephone Use

Please note:
Since school telephones are for business purposes, telephone use by students must be limited. Students will not be permitted to call home for permission to visit friends, stay for events, or determine rides home. They are expected to make these arrangements before leaving home in the morning. There is a pay phone in the commons for students’ use during breaks or at lunchtime. Emergency situations will be handled on an individual basis.
