    Thank you for attending the first annual Auburn Turkey Trot 5K!
    We enjoyed a wonderful time with 563 of our best running friends on Thanksgiving morning.  Thank you for coming out and supporting Auburn's newest Thanksgiving tradition.  We raised (net) about $15,000 for Auburn students!  We are so thrilled at the overwhelming community interest in this event and we look forward to seeing you all back in 2018!

    Trivia Night 2018
    The third annual APSF Trivia Night is coming up on February 2, 2018 at the Auburn Community & Event Center.  Tickets are on sale now!  Follow the link for details about the dinner menu and event timeline.  Get a team together and join us!

    Registration Now Open
    Registration for the Auburn Turkey Trot 5K event is now open!  We're going to have a great crowd on Thanksgiving morning - you don't want to miss Auburn's newest holiday tradition.  Sign up by the end of October to get the best rates; a fee increase will go into effect on November 1.  Visit our event website for registration and more information by clicking HERE.

    Coming this Thanksgiving:
    The Auburn Turkey Trot 5k
    We're excited to announce a new event that we'll be hosting on Thanksgiving 2017. The Auburn Turkey Trot will begin and end at Sunset Park in Lakeland Hills.
    More information will be published over the next few weeks.  In the meantime, please mark your calendars and plan to join us on Thanksgiving morning!
    APSF Launches the Auburn Pantry Project 
    The Auburn Pantry Project is a new area of support under our Healthy Choices grant. 


    Through this project, APSF will provide each elementary school applicant a periodic stipend to be used to acquire various supplies including: 


    • Food (fresh or packaged) to supplement Food to Go, mid-morning snacks, before or after school activities, or other special needs, 
    • Hygiene items (toothpaste/brushes, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene, diapers, underclothing, lice kits, etc.), 
    • (Under)clothing,
    • Other basic related supplies, etc.
     A big THANK YOU to Hop Jack's restaurant in Lakeland Hills for helping us get this project started.

    Auburn Public Schools Foundation Hires New Executive Director
    APSF has hired its first full-time Executive Director, Auburn resident Matthew Longhurst.  Matthew has managed local and national non-profit organizations for 13 years, and is very excited to be able to support the students of this community.  Read the press release about this new position here.

    Auburn Street Scramble
    Our participants had a great time attending the first annual Auburn Street Scramble on Saturday, October 8.  Nearly 75 scramblers swarmed around town by bike, scooter, foot, and stroller.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support the children of our community and the Auburn Public Schools Foundation!
