  • Josh Swanson - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for May 11, 2015
    Senior Josh Swanson was 6/12 in 4 games and went 4 for 6 in 2 playoff games on Saturday.  Josh homered, doubled, and drove in the go-ahead runs in our comeback win Saturday in which the baseball team was behind 5-0 and won 9-5.  He caught both games in the heat of the day and was terrific.  
    Congrats to Josh and the Varsity Baseball Team!

  • Celeste Andreotti and Lauren Kearney - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for May 4, 2015
    Senior Celeste Andreotti and Junior Lauren Kearney, AMHS' #1 Girls Doubles Tennis Team, is undefeated at 12-0 in league play and are 13-1 on the season.  They have won 12 of their 14 matches in straight sets.  They are also captains of the Girls Tennis Team and are leading the team to a 14-0 record so far.  Go, Lions!

  • Zoe Collins - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for April 27, 2015
    Sophomore Zoe Collins had a combined batting average of .469 last week in Fastpitch.  She helped us outscore our opponents 38-7 with her performance at the plate and on the mound pitching with shutouts vs. Bonney Lake and Peninsula.  She also leads the team with 19 stolen bases.  In our game against Bonney Lake she was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs and struck out 10 Panthers earning a shutout.  In our game vs. Sumner she was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.  Zoe also had eleven strikeouts vs. Peninsula and was 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, and 5 strikeouts.

  • Justen Hardaway - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for April 20, 2015
    Sophomore Justen Hardaway broke the school record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 40.73 and finishing 9th at the prestigious Pasco Invite on Saturday.  He also ran the 400 meter leg of the AMHS distance medley relay that finished 6th overall at Pasco.  Justen also won the 300 hurdles at Thursday's dual meet against Bonney Lake.  He has the fastest 300 meter hurdle time of the season in the SPSL.

  • Justin Marsden - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for April 13, 2015
    Senior Justin Marsden threw 15 innings last week in three games while notching 2 wins and giving up only 1 earned run for Varsity Baseball.  He struck out 31 batters in those 15 innings (2 out of every 3 batters he faced) and only gave up a total of 6 hits (1 hit every 5 innings) during that span.

    Emily Martinez - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for April 13, 2015
    Sophomore Emily Martinez blasted 2, 3 home runs against Lakes last week and batted .500 in the 3 games for Varsity Fastpitch.  She leads the team with 18 RBIs and a batting of .471 and a .765 slugging percentage.  Emily is also a huge contributor with her defense, leadership, and encouragement to her teammates.  She has been a critical part to our 4-0 record in league play.

  • Jared Gray - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for March 23, 2015
    Senior Jared Gray earned the win in both of his two starts in Varsity Baseball this past week.  Jared has yet to give up an earned run on the season and has 13 strike outs with only 5 walks in 8 innings pitched.

    in the Post-Season during the Winter Sports Season.
    Auburn Mountainview was extremely well represented
    in numerous State Championships and Post-Season competitions.  
      
    Antonio Corea - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for February 23, 2015
    Junior Antonio Corea finished 5-1 at the state tournament and placed 3rd at 220 pounds, helping AMHS to it's highest ever placing at the State Wrestling Championships.

    Dylan Foley - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for February 23, 2015
    Junior Dylan Foley finished 4-1 at the state tournament and placed 3rd at 132 pounds, helping AMHS to it's highest ever placing at the State Wrestling Championships.

    Luke Lavine - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for February 23, 2015
    Senior Luke Lavine placed 5th in the 50 Freestyle at the State Boys Swim and Dive competition with a record 21.60 and also placed 4th in the 100 Freestyle with a school record 47.82.  His 200 Medley Relay finished 7th, and his 200 Freestyle Relay finished 5th with a school record of 1:30.13.  For the weekend Luke broke three school records and ended up on the awards podium four times.  He has done all this while being an honors student with a 3.9 GPA.

    Kayla Porter - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for February 23, 2015
    Sophomore Kayla Porter earned a 38.050 All-Around score in Gymnastics with first place finishes in the Bars (9.6) and the Beam (9.450).  She also finished third in the Floor (9.600) and fourth in the Vault (9.400) earning her a second place finish at the State Gymnastics Championships.  Kayla was also the All-Around District Gymnastics Champion.

  • Robbie Wilson - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for February 9, 2015
    Junior Robbie Wilson has done an outstanding job stepping into the role as point guard and floor general of our Varsity Boys Basketball team.  Robbie leads our team in assists, steals, and is third on the team in rebounding.  It is difficult to just pinpoint one particular performance because Robbie is so steady and whether he scores a bunch of points or not, he is a vital piece to our Basketball team.  Like many of his other teammates, Robbie is very unselfish and works extremely hard day in and day out.

  • Kayla Porter - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for January 12, 2015
    Sophomore Kayla Porter is undefeated in Gymnastics this season.  She has won every individual event and all-around title in every meet this season.  In last week's meet Kayla earned the following scores:  9.3 for Vault, 9.6 for Bars, 9.55 for Beam, 9.7 for Floor, and 38.15 for All-Around.

  • Dylan Foley - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for January 5, 2015

    Junior Dylan Foley went 5-0 during the dual wrestling tournament at the Best of the West in Pasco during Winter Break.  The next day in the individual 32-man bracketed tournament he placed second going 4-1 on the day.  At the All-SPSL tournament this past weekend Dylan placed third in his weight class……this is one of the toughest tournaments in the state!

    Tristan Miguel - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for January 5, 2015
    Junior Tristan Miguel averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks during the four Varsity Boys Basketball games over Winter Break.  He also played a key role in helping the team win the Oberto Christmas Classic Tournament and was named to the all-tournament team. In addition to his great play on the court, he is an outstanding leader and is extremely unselfish.

  • Antonio Corea - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for December 15, 2014
    Junior Antonio Corea had a very productive week in Wrestling winning 4 matches while getting to the championship match in the Larry Brown Wrestling Tournament in Fife.  Antonio dominated his Spartan opponent in Wednesday’s dual meet, pinning the Sumner wrestler in the first round.  He also won three matches while finishing in 2nd place at the Larry Brown invite at Fife.

  • Ryan Lacey - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for December 8, 2014
    Junior Ryan Lacey, a multi-sport athlete for the Lions, led all scorers with 21 points in the Varsity Boys Basketball season opener vs. Mt. Tahoma.  Aside from leading the team in scoring, he has done a great job of being a great team captain.  He is a vocal leader, but at the same time leads by example.  Ryan always gives great effort and is extremely coachable.

  • Corey Barnes - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for November 3, 2014
    Junior Corey Barnes helped the Lion Football team secure a 49-28 win at Enumclaw by rushing for a school record 243 yards on only 13 carries.  He also scored 3 touchdowns against the Hornets.

    Christian Rotter - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for November 3, 2014
    Junior Christian Rotter backed up his SPSL Cross Country Championship by winning the WCD Cross Country Championship and qualifying for the State Cross Country Championships this coming weekend.

  • Christian Rotter - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for October 27, 2014
    Junior Cross Country runner Christian Rotter and the rest of his Cross Country teammates competed in Sub-Districts on Saturday, October 25th.  Christian won the meet and set a course record with a time of 16 minutes and 10 seconds.  He finished first among 70 Varsity runners representing 10 schools.  Next stop for Christian is Districts and then eventually, State!

  • Josette Lake - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for October 6, 2014
    Senior Girls Soccer midfielder Josette Lake scored a hat trick (3 goals) in a home game on September 30th helping the Lady Lions win 4-0 over Lakes.  This is the first hat trick of her high school career.

  • Rachel Fieser - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 29, 2014
    Varsity Girls Soccer captain and goalkeeper, Senior Rachel Fieser, posted two shutouts this week against Peninsula and Enumclaw.  The Girls Soccer Team won both games 2-0.  Rachel has 18 shutouts for her high school career.

    Gresch Jensen - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 29, 2014
    Junior Quarterback Gresch Jensen was 28-45 for 378 yards and 4 TDs.  He also ran 10 times for 33 yards and 2 TDs.  On defense he had five solo tackles and two assist tackles.  Last week against Bonney Lake he set the school record with three interceptions in a game.

    Kiley Lewis - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 29, 2014
    Kiley Lewis, a 10th grade 6'2" outside hitter for the Varsity Volleyball team, is leading them in kills per game.  Currently Kiley has tallied up 100 kills in six matches this season.  She recorded 15 kills against Riverside and 10 kills and 10 aces against Auburn this week.

  • Vincent Vu - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 22, 2014
    Senior Vincent Vu had a great week on the golf course last week as the medalist in both matches.  He shot one over par for both matches and was the team leader with 35 points for the week.  Congratulations also to the AMHS Lions Boys Golf Team which improved to 5-0 on the season.

  • Gavin Robertson - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 15, 2014
    Junior Gavin Robertson, a 6'2" 190 pound free safety and wide receiver, totaled 11 tackles including two for a loss and also had four receptions including a 66 yard touchdown reception at the Varsity game at Steilacoom last week.  Gavin was also a Max Preps Athlete of the Week nominee.

  • Aeron Watson - Auburn Mountainview High School Athlete of the Week for September 8, 2014
    Senior Aeron Watson had ten solo tackles including two tackles for loss in the Lions' Varsity Football season opening 28-6 win versus Foss on September 5th.  He was also named as one of  the Top 10 Friday Night Performers by the Seattle Times.
