When students are absent due to quarantine, teaching and learning will continue.
SMALL GROUP OF STUDENTS ONLY:
As with any other student absence, students should work with their teachers to complete any missing assignments.
As with any other teacher absence, a substitute teacher will be assigned.
WHOLE CLASS ELEMENTARY:
If all students in a class and their teacher need to quarantine distance learning will be provided with Google Meets. If the teacher is sick and unable to conduct distance learning lessons, the teacher will provide substitute plans for their class and distance learning will be provided.
Chromebook distribution plans will be communicated via the principal to ensure all health guidance is followed. It may take a brief period of time for full remote classes to begin; teachers and principals will need to have emergency plans ready to make a quick transition to being remote. It may not be possible to provide all specialist and program services during a quarantine period.
WHOLE CLASS SECONDARY:
If all students in a class and the teacher need to quarantine distance learning will be provided for that class. For other class periods, students will work with their teachers to complete missing work. For the teacher in quarantine, the teacher will provide substitute plans for all of their class periods or teach via Google Meet with their classes, supervised by a substitute.
