Access to Auburn School District Playgrounds, Fields and Athletic Facilities

The Auburn School District believes schools are community assets and when not in use during school hours, school playgrounds and fields should be available for community use.

It also is the responsibility of the school district to maintain and preserve the assets the community has provided and to make sure the playgrounds and fields are safe and maintained for student and community use.

At the discretion of the principal or of the Auburn School District, access to playgrounds and fields may be temporarily closed to prevent damage and make repairs. When a decision is made to close a facility, schools will communicate with their families via ParentSquare regarding the reason for the closure and when it is expected to reopen.
