Swimming Lessons

On the first day of classes, students may enter through the front entrance, change into their swim clothes in the appropriate locker room*, and then sit in the pool-deck bleachers until their instructor calls their name for check-in. At the conclusion of class, we respectfully ask that students exit the water safely and in a timely manner.

At the Auburn School District Pool, guests are encouraged to use the locker room that best aligns with their gender identity. Children younger than six may use a different locker room when accompanied by a chaperone (such as a parent, guardian, or sibling).

For our non-binary and genderqueer guests, as well as families, we offer a Family Changing Room located on the pool deck. This private, gender-neutral space includes a toilet, shower, changing table and sink, and is available for use by any guest who prefers it.

Credits may be issued if a student becomes injured or ill and is unable to attend four or more lessons. Exceptions must be approved by the Aquatic Coordinator.

• If you have a scheduling change that will affect your child’s attendance, please notify us prior to the final week of the session.
• Requests for class changes, refunds, or credits made within the last week of the session will incur a $5.00 processing fee.
• Credits issued will be applied to the next available session only.
• Refunds are given only in the event of a pool closure or with Aquatic Coordinator approval.

Swimming involves certain inherent risks. By signing the registration form, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks associated with participation at the Auburn School District Pool. You agree not to hold the Auburn School District liable for common conditions or incidents that may occur in aquatic environments, including but not limited to slips, falls, concussions, accidental submersion, or environmental and social situations outside the District’s reasonable control.
