Drama
Consultants
When hiring consultants:
-
Each secondary choir, band, orchestra, and drama program per building is allotted 100 hours by the district and each high school music program receives additional money through Rob Swaim's activity assistant salary schedule to hire a consultant and/or accompanist to support the learning and performances of our students
-
The rate of pay for a consultant is $20 per hour
-
Using the district performing arts funds to hire consultants and/or accompanists allows a consultants time to be used during curricular and non-curricular activities (before school, during school, or after school)
-
Be creative! Consultants can:
-
-
enhance learning and rigor
-
fill in knowledge gaps
-
represent our students, their culture, and their communities
-
allow simultaneous learning to happen
-
-
Each year accompanists and consultants will need to be onboarded through the PAR system which happens at the building level. When you have the name(s) of your accompanist/consultant please work with your office manager to begin the hiring process.
Linked here are slides that show the process (Crystal has walked through this process with your office managers)
Below are names of consultants who were hired in the 24/25 school year. Please reach out to the music director for contact information.
