Senior Ruman Beynah Becomes AMHS First Ever Recipient

Senior Ruman Beynah just received a scholarship worth $1,500 renewable for 4 years! She is our first ever recipient of the Sheng-Yen Lu Lotus Scholarship designed to help refugee and immigrant youth excel and persist through college toward post-secondary degrees. According to Ms. Sullivan, “Ever since she arrived at our school three years ago, she has been an example to others. She works hard and always tries her best – always willing to help me and other students. She cares about people and is very determined. Ruman has a bright future ahead of her because she is amazing in every way.”
