Auburn School District Board Appoints New Director

The Auburn School District Board of Directors appointed Tracy Arnold as the newest ASD director. Arnold replaces Ryan VanQuill who resigned from his district five position. Arnold will serve the remainder of VanQuill’s term, through November of 2021, when she is eligible to run for the position.

Arnold has served in a variety of volunteer roles throughout the community. She has served on the Auburn Mountainview Booster Club for 11 years and is the current Alumni Parent Representative. She served on the PTA at Terminal Park, Rainier and Lea Hill where she earned the Golden Acorn award. She was the City of Auburn 2015 volunteer of the year. She has lived in Auburn for 25 years and her two sons graduated from Auburn Mountainview. Arnold earned her master’s and bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. She works for the Boeing Company.

“Tracy’s commitment to the students of Auburn is evident in her many years of volunteering in our schools.  We look forward to her leadership on the board serving the Auburn community,” said Laurie Bishop, ASD Board President.

Arnold will be sworn in during the board meeting at 7 p.m., December 14 via Zoom.
