Kathe Ball is a fireball – at teaching, that is! Ms. Ball was just named Auburn Middle School Teacher of the year, and no one better deserves this honor. Ms. Ball has been involved in every aspect of the schoolhouse over the past sixteen years, including teaching math, reading, and now language arts. She also advises Builders Club, provides invaluable support for the annual school play, helps at athletic events, and pitches in wherever she is needed. In addition, Ms. Ball unfailingly supports her students, serves on multiple committees at school, mentors a student teacher, and still finds time for her husband and two lovely daughters. Congratulate Ms. Ball when you see her! Be careful, though, as she holds an orange belt in Tai Kwon Do!
Morgan Collings did it again! For the second year in a row, Morgan placed in the top ten at the Regional Spelling Bee in Seattle on Sunday, March 29. Morgan placed ninth out of seventy-two spellers. We are SO proud of Morgan and her calm, cool, collected spelling bee abilities! Congratulations, Morgan, and thank you for representing Olympic so well at the Bee!
